A year of change for the Miami Dolphins will start to take shape next week when the 2026 NFL schedule gets released.
The NFL confirmed reports May 8 that the dates and matchups for all 18 weeks of the regular season will be released Thursday, May 14. The Dolphins, coming off a 7-10 season that resulted in their head coach and general manager being fired and massive changes throughout the roster, will look to build a new regime around 13 picks from April’s NFL draft, starting with Alabama tackle Kadyn Proctor with the No. 12 overall pick.
Miami already knows its opponents when it sets off on the Malik Willis era at quarterback. Not only will they have their usual home-and-home dates with the New England Patriots, the Dolphins will also face the other team who played in last year’s AFC championship game in the Denver Broncos, meaning they go head-to-head with Jaylen Waddle. They’ll also visit the Las Vegas Raiders and No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza.
Dolphins fans will get to see Joe Burrow and old nemesis Justin Herbert when the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers come to Hard Rock Stadium. They could see another when the Kansas City Chiefs roll in if Patrick Mahomes has recovered from his torn ACL. There’s also a chance that one of the Dolphins’ road games will take place abroad if the schedule-makers decide to give Miami an international game for the second straight year.
