Palm Beach restaurants are ready for Mother's Day, so reserve now

Every year, there’s one day in May when restaurants on the island are particularly busy as husbands, in-laws, children, grandchildren and others fête an adored family member: mom.

On Mother’s Day, which is May 10, everything from special menus to complimentary goodies for matriarchs will be offered at dining establishments all around town.

Many places also will serve their regular menus. Making advance reservations for Mother’s Day is strongly recommended or required at most island restaurants.

Here’s a taste of dining-out offerings in town on May 10:

Café ĽEurope

331 S. County Road

A la carte Mother’s Day dinner specials will be offered alongside the famed longtime restaurant’s regular menu featuring everything from mussels and frites to pan-seared branzino and filet mignon au poivre.

Specials for May 10 that are planned by executive chef Alain Krauss are set to include golden-tomato gazpacho ($18), salmon tartare ($37) and Chilean sea bass with Champagne sauce and ratatouille ($65).

Lemon tart with raspberry mousse, passion-fruit gelato and biscotti ($24) will be a Mother’s Day sweet-ending special alongside Café L’Europe’s other desserts, such as chocolate souffle.

Cucina

257 Royal Poinciana Way

Whether guests are seated in the dining room or along the sidewalk-side patio, both the regular Italian-inflected menu and daily specials will be available on Mother’s Day.

Any mom dining at Cucina on May 10 will be treated to perks, the restaurants officials told the Palm Beach Daily News.

Moms will each be treated to a complimentary dessert bite—a surprise sweet morsel created especially for Mother’s Day—as complimentary glasses of rose.

The Breakers

Mother’s Day dining at the iconic resort is a treasured annual affair for many locals and visitors.

At The Breakers’ historic Circle dining room with its frescoed ceiling and ocean-glimpsing arched windows, an elaborate Mother’s Day brunch ($285 adults; $100 children 12 and younger) features a buffet that culminates with a bevy of festive dessert selections.

Unlimited Champagne cocktails, Bloody Marys and The Breakers’ custom-blended wine are included. A harpist will provide live music.

Meanwhile, at The Breakers’ oceanfront Venetian Ballroom, another Mother’s Day brunch ($285 adults; $100 children 12 and younger) also will feature a copious buffet, as well as unlimited Champagne cocktails and the resort’s custom-blended wine.

Look for a complimentary grapefruit-rose martini for moms if you dine onsite at the resort at its oceanfront Seafood Bar.
