More rain is headed for central Ohio beginning Monday, May 4.
An estimated 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall in 24 hours beginning the afternoon of May 4, the National Weather Service said in a post on X May 3.
“A chance of isolated thunderstorms exists Monday afternoon, before a more widespread rainfall arrival Tuesday into Wednesday when a weather system stalls across our region,” the NWS in Wilmington said.
There’s a 100% chance of rain Tuesday, May 5.
Central Ohio forecast this week
Monday, May 4: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Southwest wind 9 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Monday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southwest wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday, May 5: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. Southwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 49. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Wednesday, May 6: A chance of showers before 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Wednesday Night: A chance of showers after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thursday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 60. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
