Local breweries and vintage trains meet at Rails & Ales

More than a dozen local craft breweries will offer tastings as part of Rails & Ales Train Rides from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16.

Participants will ride on a vintage diesel train to tasting stations at both ends of the grounds of the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum, 282 Rush-Scottsville Road, Rush.

Tickets cost $40 per person and include museum admission, tastings and a complimentary glass. Tickets for designated drivers, who will receive free soft drinks, cost $15. Tickets are sold at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rails-ales-train-rides-tickets-1983166342917?aff=rtrsite. The event is limited to people 21 and older.

Food and other refreshments will be sold.

Between tastings, participants can tour museum exhibits and the state’s largest collection of historic trains, as well as seeing preservation work being done.
