The New York Giants are adding free agent veteran defensive lineman Leki Fotu to their roster on a one-year deal, reports NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
The Giants added another veteran, Shelby Harris, to the defensive line earlier on Wednesday as part of the pledge head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Joe Schoen made after the 2026 NFL draft.
The two signings may not preclude them from adding yet another player (perhaps D.J. Reader) to the D-line room, which is suddenly getting crowded.
The Giants had a gaping hole to fill heading into the draft after trading Pro Bowler Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this month. They added Bobby Jamison-Travis of Auburn in the draft and knew they still had to pad the roster with more options.
Earlier this offseason, the Giants signed veteran Sam Roberts in free agency.
Although the room is deep, the Giants are not likely satisfied with what they have following the departure of Lawrence. Expect additional signings.
