In its post-draft evaluation, Fox Sports gave Tampa Bay a B grade, pointing to the team’s early focus on the defensive side of the ball. The Buccaneers added what the outlet described as “three alphas” with Rueben Bain Jr., Josiah Trotter, and Keionte Scott, giving the defense an injection of physicality and depth.
Offensively, Tampa Bay used a third-round pick on Ted Hurst, a player Fox Sports described as one of the more intriguing receiver prospects in the class. While not viewed as a direct replacement for Mike Evans, Hurst’s size and speed combination gives the offense another dimension.
Fox Sports also pointed to Day 3 selections Demonte Capehart and Billy Schrauth as potential early contributors, even if they may not receive immediate attention.
Overall, the evaluation reflects a class that balanced immediate needs with long-term development, particularly on defense, while continuing to build out depth across the roster.
