Former Warriors champion suggested as Steve Kerr replacement

While the Warriors await the decision of Steve Kerr, rumors have begun to swirl about possible replacements for the 12-year head coach.

Just recently, sports columnist Tim Kawakami linked Golden State to a familiar fit, eight-year Warrior and 2014-15 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.

Although he only averaged 6.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists during his time in the Bay Area, Iguodala’s defense and veteran leadership were pivotal to Golden State’s four championship rings.

That said, he’d certainly be an inexperienced hire from a coaching perspective, having yet to work in the role with an NBA team since his retirement.

However, he certainly has a connection to the organization and their current roster, most notably the duo of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
