Key cornerback target sets official visit with FSU

2027 three-star cornerback Romel Koon is one of the biggest targets for the Florida State Seminoles in the 2027 cycle. They’ve steadily made progress in his recruitment, and he named them a top five school last week.

It’s now time for the 6-foot, 165-pounder to get into his official visit schedule for the summer. Per Noles247, Koon will take his trip to see FSU from June 3-5. He also has an official visit set with the Virginia Tech Hokies on June 19.

Koon has played on both sides of the ball at Brentwood Academy. During his freshman and sophomore seasons, he registered 347 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His bread and butter is certainly on defense as he racked up 50 tackles, seven pass breakups, and one interception during his sophomore year.

He is listed as the No. 1,016 player in the country and the No. 93 cornerback per the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also the No. 37 prospect in the state of Tennessee.
