Aldi, which has two Rockland County stores, said it is removing 44 ingredients that include artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners from its private label, vitamin and supplement products.
The changes “build on that legacy as Aldi further strengthens its standards across its private label portfolio to eliminate a total of 57 ingredients from its products by December 2027,” an April 22 Aldi news release said.
Aldi said that it removed 13 ingredients more than a decade ago.
Aldi has Nanuet and Stony Point locations.
“Based directly on customer feedback, we are proud to take meaningful steps to make it even easier for families to fill their carts with confidence by delivering simpler ingredients while continuing to provide the quality and value they expect from Aldi,” Scott Patton, Aldi chief commercial officer, said in the release.
