(This story has been updated to correct information about where the gun was pointed.)
A 49-year-old Simi Valley man was arrested April 18 after allegedly pointing a gun through a window of the victim’s home.

Officers with the Simi Valley Police Department were called to the 100 block of Silver Fern Court around 10:30 p.m. on a report of a suspicious incident, according to a news release. The victim saw the gun, moved away from the window and called police, police said.
Officers found the man outside his own home. Their investigation determined the man had placed guns around the house, and he told officers they were set inside the home for protection.
Police also found the gun pointed at the victim, which was loaded, and it and other guns were seized from the house.
The man was arrested and booked into Ventura County jail on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on bail April 19 and is set to appear in Ventura County Superior Court May 4, jail records show.
