There is a crowded Republican primary this year of candidates hoping to unseat incumbent Cincinnati Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman.

Landsman won reelection in 2024, defeating Republican Orlando Sonza with 56% of the vote. Since that election, Ohio lawmakers redrew the congressional districts in October 2025.
Ohio’s 1st District now includes Clinton County, Warren County and parts of Hamilton County. It leans slightly Republican, according to composite data from Dave’s Redistricting.
Here’s what to know about the Republican candidates.
Who is Holly Adams?
Holly Adams grew up in Hamilton and has a business and marketing degree from Bowling Green State University, according to her campaign website.
She worked in sales from 1995 until 2022, when she started working for Turning Point USA Faith, a division of the nonprofit organization founded by Charlie Kirk. The organization’s website says its purpose is to “unite the Church around primary doctrine and to eliminate wokeism from the American pulpit.”
Adams now lives in Loveland and is registered to vote in Hamilton County.
Who is Eric Conroy?
Eric Conroy said he grew up in suburban Cincinnati and now lives Downtown. He’s an alumnus of Elder High School and the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University, according to a campaign news release.
Conroy served in the Air Force and as an officer with the CIA. He previously told The Enquirer that he decided to run because of his intimate understanding of the district and its residents’ needs as a fourth-generation Cincinnatian.
Conroy was endorsed by President Donald Trump on April 14.
Who is Dr. Steven Erbeck?
Dr. Steven Erbeck is a fourth-generation dentist who grew up in Mason and now lives in Madeira.
Madeira is now part of the 8th congressional district with the new maps. Erbeck announced his candidacy before Ohio lawmakers redrew the congressional districts. Members of Congress are required to live in the state they represent, but not the district.
Erbeck attended Ohio State University and NYU College of Dentistry. He said in a news release that his campaign will focus on economic development and supporting law enforcement.
Who is Rosemary Oglesby-Henry?
Oglesby-Henry grew up in Cincinnati’s Avondale neighborhood and now lives in Westwood. She attended Withrow University High School and has a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a master’s degree in organizational leadership, both from Mount St. Joseph University, according to her campaign website.
She’s the founder of Rosemary’s Babies, a nonprofit organization that provides resources and financial support for parents from the ages of 9 to 19 in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
