I hope all voters in the Republican primary election will join me in voting for Angela Kinsey for Stark County auditor.
As a county elected official, I can attest that the Auditor’s Office interacts with just about every part of county government, which is why having someone who understands the office and its responsibilities is so important.
Angela Kinsey has worked in the Auditor’s Office for 15 years, including the last year and a half as auditor, and she has done a tremendous job.
She manages one of the largest offices in Stark County, being responsible for the county’s finances, IT Department, and more than 80 staff.
On top of all that, Kinsey is leading the way implementing the property tax reforms passed by the legislature to lessen the property tax burden on homeowners.
This point is particularly important, because according to the April 11, 2026, CantonRep.com article, her opponent wants to “put a pause on (property) valuation changes.”
Unfortunately, the law doesn’t allow this and makes it painfully obvious that her opponent doesn’t understand the auditor’s responsibilities and how the office is required by law to operate.
For the Auditor’s Office, the best choice is by far Angela Kinsey. I hope you will join me in voting for her.
