The Burges and Americas High School boys soccer teams continue their quests for a state championship on Friday, April 3.
Americas will play Prosper Walnut Grove in a Class 5A, Division 1 semifinal and Burges will play Frisco Wakeland in a Class 5A, Division 2 semifinal.

Both games will be at Astound Broadband Stadium in Midland at 11 a.m. MT/noon CT and 1:30 p.m. MT/2:30 p.m. CT. Americas and Prosper Walnut Grove play first, followed by Frisco Wakeland and Burges.
The winners advance to the state title game in their respective divisions on Friday, April 10 at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown.
The winner of Americas and Prosper Walnut Grove will play either College Station or Southwest Legacy. The winner, Frisco Wakeland and Burges, will play either Pieper or Liberal Arts & Science Academy.

Burges head soccer coach Daniel Murillo was an assistant coach at Americas last season.
“I feel so happy for Americas to once again be in this position,” Murillo said. “They’ve worked hard to get to this point.”
