News conference highlights from Sheriff John Budensiek:

∎ Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek says a pressure cleaner truck was northbound, turning into a driveway, and the driver saw a Land Rover overtaking him at high speeds. He edged off side of Beach Road. Land Rover swerved into back end of trailer.

∎ Land Rover driver identified as Tiger Woods. He did not seem to be injured. He was arrested and taken to Martin County Jail. He will be there for at least 8 hours.

∎ Woods might be impaired; He crawled out of the passenger window

∎ He cooperated, but careful of what he said or didn’t say. Not sure if wearing a seat belt. No on else in his car.

∎  No injuries to driver of pressure washer truck.

∎ Woods refused urine test. Cooperated with breathalizer test.

∎ We will never get definitive answer on what he was impaired with, Budensiek said, because he refused urine test.

∎ No drugs or medication found.

Tiger Woods’ home is in Jupiter Island, where he’s lived since 2007, when he purchased the property for $44.5 million, according to Martin County property appraiser records.

At the Martin County Jail, the intake clerk said Woods had not be booked yet as of 5 p.m.

The golf legend was previously involved in a serious rollover crash in California in 2021.

After another single-car crash in Florida in 2009, Woods was found unconscious and snoring at the scene, according to a USA TODAY article. Woods later acknowledged he used Ambien but didn’t directly answer when asked at a news conference if Ambien played a role in that crash.
