Don’t want to cook Easter Sunday but still want a special Easter meal for you and the family? Door County residents have options.
A number of places in the Door that are regularly open on Sundays for breakfast or brunch will be open on Easter to serve their usual menus. But here are some Door County restaurants that have special Easter menus or special brunches April 5.
Sturgeon Bay
Cedar Crossing Restaurant, 336 Louisiana St. (at North Third Avenue)
The restaurant at Inn at Cedar Crossing will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a special menu that features cinnamon raisin French toast with peppered bacon; a traditional or crab cake benedict; corned beef hash with eggs and rye toast; chorizo-and-egg breakfast burrito; deep-dish quiche; and strawberry cinnamon rolls. Kitty O’Reilly’s Irish Pub, 59 E. Oak St.
The popular Irish restaurant opens at 9 a.m. with a few special items alongside its usual breakfast menu, then offers a special Easter menu as well as its regular lunch/dinner menu from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The special breakfast items are an Easter burrito with hollandaise sauce, a Monte Cristo breakfast sandwich and a veggie skillet with eggs. The dinner menu features lamb lollipop appetizers; Wagyu prime rib, bourbon-glazed salmon, honey-glazed ham and lobster mac & cheese, with carrot cake for dessert. Stone Harbor Resort, 103 N. First Ave.
The resort’s Brygga Plates & Pours restaurant and bar hosts an Easter brunch buffet with Easter egg hunts for children taking place during the event. The menu includes quiche and other breakfast items, chef-carved ham and beef, smoked salmon, salads and sides, fruit and bakery. Diners also can build an omelet for an extra $3, build a bloody Mary for $10 or get bottomless mimosas for $10. $35 adults, $15 ages 12 and younger. The Lodge at Leathem Smith, 1640 Memorial Drive
The lodge’s restaurant offers an Easter buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that features carved ham, turkey, leg of lamb, honey-baked chicken, stuffed pork loin, Swedish meatballs and other fish, along with side items and pasta dishes, peel-and-eat shrimp and smoked salmon, a full soup and salad bar, a breakfast station and dessert bar. $29.95 adults, $15.95 ages 5 to 10, and reservations are recommended with seats filling quickly. 920-743-5555 or facebook.com/lodgeatleathemsmith.
Scaturo’s Baking Co. & Cafe, 19 Green Bay Road
The bakery and cafe will be open on Easter with its usual Sunday brunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., but it also is offering a carryout-only Easter brunch platter and dessert platter to serve four to six people.
The food platter includes chorizo frittata, blueberry French toast, bacon and sausages, chicken, pastas and cheesy hash brown casserole, while the dessert platter has carrot cupcakes, pretzel torte, Biscoff banana cream cups, peanut butter Oreo cheesecake, double chocolate raspberry pie bars and glazed lemon cookies. Forestville
