Tom Coughlin and his daughter, Keli Coughlin Joyce, founders of the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, will receive the President’s Medallion at the 2026 OneJax Humanitarian Awards. The event is set for Thursday, April 30, at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts.
OneJax, which has presented the awards since 1970, honors individuals whose community service promotes respect, understanding, and humanitarian leadership. The President’s Medallion recognizes lifetime achievement reflecting vision, commitment, and profound care for others.
Coughlin and Joyce are being saluted for their decades-long dedication to families facing pediatric cancer.
Coughlin established the Jay Fund in 1996 in memory of Jay McGillis, a former Boston College teammate who died of leukemia. What began as a modest golf tournament in Jacksonville has grown into a comprehensive support network serving Northeast Florida and the New York/New Jersey metropolitan areas. The foundation provides direct financial assistance for housing, utilities, transportation, and daily needs, alongside emotional and practical resources to help families navigate treatment.
Over 30 years, the organization has delivered more than $34 million in aid to over 6,700 families. Annual events, including the Champions for Children Gala, continue to fuel its mission while fostering community connections, such as outings for children at New York Giants facilities.
Coughlin, a former Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants head coach, has long balanced his professional legacy with this hands-on philanthropy.
The awards evening will also recognize Silver Medallion recipients for their contributions across education, inclusion, and local service. Tickets and sponsorship information are available through OneJax.
