PALM BEACH GARDENS — Tiger Woods made his season debut on Tuesday night in the TGL Finals.
Woods, 50, returned to competition at the SoFi Center on March 24 ahead of Game 2 of the TGL Finals. Los Angeles Golf Club defeated Jupiter Links 9-2 after the first hole of singles to win the SoFi Cup.
The 15-time major champion hit a variety of shots around the green as well as full shots into the TGL screen during warmups. Woods’ first shot of the TGL season was a 25-foot birdie putt to win the opening hole. He left it short and Jupiter Links settled for par, ultimately splitting the night’s first hole.
Jupiter Links was looking to stave off elimination against Los Angeles Golf Club. He joined Max Homa and Tom Kim against Los Angeles Golf Club’s team of Justin Rose, Sahith Theegala and Tommy Fleetwood.
He is less than six months removed from a disc replacement surgery, which came seven months after he suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon.
Woods has attended every Jupiter match this season, acting as the team’s coach. He last played at the 2024 PNC Championship in Orlando with son, Charlie, that December. His last PGA Tour event with the 2024 British Open.
