Iowa men’s basketball now knows its Sweet 16 opponent for March Madness.
After taking down Florida on Sunday, the 9-seed Hawkeyes (24-12) are set to play No. 4-seed Nebraska in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 26, at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Tip-off time and TV information will be released later Sunday night.
The Huskers took down 5-seed Vanderbilt, 74-72, on Saturday night.
Tickets for Iowa vs Nebraska in NCAA Tournament
The Hawkeyes and Cornhuskers have played 44 times, with Iowa holding a 28-16 record against them. The teams have played twice this season, with each team winning one meeting. The Hawkeyes won in Iowa City, 57-52, last month. Nebraska took down the Hawkeyes, 84-75, in overtime earlier this month.
The winner of Sunday’s game will punch its ticket to next weekend’s Elite Eight.
