One of Florida State’s top targets in the 2027 recruiting class is four-star edge JaBarrius Garror, who recently decommitted from the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Seminoles are working to take advantage of the fact that he is now back on the market, but they will have plenty of competetion for the Mobile, Alabama native.
He recently spoke with Chad Simmons of Rivals and admitted that FSU is one of several schools recruiting him the hardest. He also explained why he has visited Tallahassee so many times during his recruitment and is considering them.
“I have been to Florida State at least seven or eight times,” he said. “I love the energy in the building. The staff is always happy to see me.”
“Coach Norvell has that energy all the time and Coach Williams is a great coach,” he added. “They are just consistent with me. It is always a great environment.”
Garror is ranked as the No. 86 overall player and No. 10 edge in the Rivlas industry ranking. He is also the No. 3 player from Alabama.
Now that he is reconsidering his options, FSU needs to get him back on campus and schedule an official visit, something he has done with several of his other contenders but not them. He was named a MaxPreps Junior All-America after recording 106 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, and a forced fumble last year.
