Miekel Eller racked up four goals March 16, leading the Newark boys lacrosse team to a 9-3 victory at Licking Valley.
Dylan Reed added three goals and an assist, Tanner Morgan and Colten Loudermilk a goal apiece and Doug Simpson and Beckett Holbert an assist apiece for the Wildcats (1-1). Landon Sifford made 3 saves, and Jaeyden Smith won all 15 of his faceoffs.

On March 14, Loudermilk and Kolin Clark each recorded two goals and an assist in an 8-7 overtime loss at Tippecanoe. Simpson, Eller and Reed also scored, and Sifford made nine saves for the Wildcats.
Granville wins in OT
Even Seifert’s overtime goal gave Granville a 7-6 victory at Dublin Scioto on March 16.
Evan Spiker led the Blue Aces (2-0) with three goals and an assist, and Bobby Higginbotham added two goals and two assists. Davis Williamson made 12 saves, and Dane McShane won 57% of his faceoffs.
On March 13, Landon Goss scored five goals in Granville’s 21-0 victory against visiting Valley. Noah Gibson and Seifert added three goals apiece, and Higginbotham, Woody Struthers and Spencer Smart Davis two each.
Johnstown edged in OT
Ben Smith made 13 saves for Johnstown in a 9-8 overtime loss to visiting Gahanna on March 13.
Hayden Norman led the Johnnies (0-1) with three goals, including tying the game with three minutes left in regulation. Will Taylor and Logan Brown added two goals apiece and Gabe Schneider one goal and two assists with Matthew Baisden winning 10 of 16 faceoffs.

Newark wins on road
Miles Drake piled up 13 kills, 21 assists, four aces and five blocks, rallying Newark to a victory at Briggs, 25-23, 23-25, 17-25, 25-13, 15-9.
Zalyn Hanzey added 14 kills, nine aces and 11 digs and Koby Watson nine kills, seven assists and two aces for the Wildcats (1-1).
