Destin's coed softball league delivers big Week 2 wins

Dustin Belletty knocked in seven runs to lead Campbell’s Tree Care in a 21-7 win over Emerald Coast Roofscapes in the city of Destin’s Adult Coed Softball League at Morgan Sports Center on March 16. 

Belletty belted a home run, a double and a single for the seven RBIs.

Tree Care jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first two innings. 

Roofscapes had a good inning in the top of the third with six runs scored. Tree Care answered with seven in the bottom half. 

In the bottom of the fourth, Tree Care put the game away with six runs. 

Other big hitters for Tree Care were Anthony Martin with three singles for three RBIs and Nicole Bacon with a single and an RBI. 

Caige Hefner had three singles for an RBI for Roofscapes. David Collette and Chez Barnes each hit two singles. 

In other week two action:  

Legendary Marine 17, The GAB Spot 16

At the end of two innings, the game was tied at 5-5. 

In the top of the third, GAB scored one and then Legendary pulled ahead with five runs. 

In the fourth, GAB took a slight lead with six runs. Legendary answered with two. 

With time running out in the fifth, GAB scored four runs and then Legendary pushed across five runs for the win. 

Will Binford led Legendary with two doubles and two singles for two RBIs. Wright Eggena connected for three singles for two RBIs, and Megan Gaster singled for an RBI. 

Kevin Jones hit a double and two singles for GAB. Chris Poole connected for two doubles and Jennifer Emmanuel singled. 

Elite Motorsports 16, Beau Esprit Framing 9

Motorsports took a 7-2 lead in the first two innings.

Framing picked up one in the top of the third and then three in the fourth for a 7-6 game. 

In the top of the sixth, Framing took the lead with two runs, but Motorsports rallied in the bottom half with nine runs. 

Framing scored one last run in the top of the seventh. 

Evan Hicks led Motorsports with a home run and two singles for four RBIs. Colby Lindsay tripled and hit two singles, and Ryan Herrera connected for a triple, double and a single. 

Neil Barlow hit a home run and two doubles for Framing. Noah Bailey clobbered two homers for two RBIs, and Corbin Carroll hit a double and a single. 

Elite Motorsports 22, Destin Commons 15

Both teams started strong. Motorsports scored the 10-run limit in the top of the first and then two runs in the second.

Destin Commons scored eight runs in the second.

By the end of four innings, Motorsports led 15-9.

Motorsports scored three in the fifth and four in the sixth, while Destin Commons scored four in the fifth and three in the sixth. 

Noah Bailey hit two homers and a single for five RBIs for Destin Commons. Ryan Granthan ripped a home run, two triples and a single for two RBIs. Kelsey Brown doubled and hit two singles. 

Tanner Fittes led Motorsports with a triple, two doubles and two singles for an RBI. Corbin Carroll hit two doubles and two singles and Ryan Herrera cracked a home run, two doubles and a single for three RBIs.
