An 88-year-old East Bloomfield man was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Gauss Road in the town of East Bloomfield, authorities said.

Ontario County sheriff’s deputies responded around 1:30p.m. to the 7000 block of Gauss Road for a reported injury crash. Investigators said James Weisbeck, 88, was driving westbound when his vehicle left the roadway, crossed a field and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
