Police on Saturday identified a motorcyclist who died in a Friday evening crash in central Lubbock.
Timothy Bond Jr., 33, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that was initially reported as a hit-and-run crash about 6 p.m. at 42nd Street and Memphis Avenue, according to a statement from Lubbock police.
Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears Bond was traveling north in the 4200 block of Memphis Avenue when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, according to the statement. He was not wearing a helmet.
The circumstances of the crash, including the possible involvement of another vehicle, remain under investigation.
