The Texas Tech women’s basketball team couldn’t solve Kansas State this season, even when it looked like the Lady Raiders would.
The 12-seed Wildcats erased a 14-point, fourth-quarter deficit to stun the 5-seed Tech 58-51 in the second round of the Big 12 tournament Thursday at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Lady Raiders didn’t score the final 7:43 of the game, missing their final 13 field goal attempts. KSU, which advanced to face 4-seed Oklahoma State, closed on a 21-0 run.
It was the second time this season the Wildcats bested Tech. The first was the Lady Raiders’ first loss of the season after a 19-0 start.
