Texas Tech basketball upset by Arizona State, loses JT Toppin late

The Texas Tech basketball team took one on the chin Tuesday night in Tempe with a 72-67 loss to Arizona State in a game that saw JT Toppin leave early with an apparent leg injury.

The Red Raiders (19-7, 9-4) committed a season-high 17 turnovers, seven of them from Christian Anderson, and could not overcome the loss of Toppin, who left the game with about 6 minutes left after totaling 20 points and eight rebounds.
