The defending IHSAA Class 3A boys basketball state champions have started to find their footing in Class 4A.
After beginning the 2025-56 campaign 0-2, South Bend Saint Joseph has won 16 of its last 18 games, including signature wins over Penn and South Bend Riley to claim the Northern Indiana Conference title. The Huskies’ surge has them back in the USA Today Network Indiana High School Boys Basketball Poll, cracking the No. 10 spot in 4A.

The only teams to beat Saint Joe since late November? Mt. Vernon (Fortville) and Silver Creek, who are ranked No. 4 in 4A and No. 1 in 3A, respectively.
Also joining Saint Joseph as newbies in the Feb. 16 poll are Indianapolis Scecina in 2A and Monroe Central in 1A.
Here is this week’s full media poll.
