Iowa basketball continues Big Ten Conference play on the road at Maryland on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
The Hawkeyes (18-5, 8-4 Big Ten) are on a six-game winning streak, most recently beating Northwestern 76-70. The Terrapins (9-14, 2-10) beat Minnesota, 67-62, last game.

Tyler Tachman, Hawk Central: Ideally, the Hawkeyes can get a win in an uneventful and injury-free fashion. Iowa has made some recent games more dramatic than they needed to be, such as USC and Northwestern. It would be best if the Hawkeyes could avoid that in College Park.
This feels similar to the Northwestern game in that Iowa is clearly the better team on paper. But the Wildcats showed that doesn’t mean winning will be easy. And unlike against Northwestern, Iowa is on the road against Maryland. The Terrapins also just tasted a Big Ten win, which has been a rarity for them this season.
This will be quite a run of travel for the Hawkeyes, who were in the Pacific Northwest for several days, returned home for one game and now spend time on the East Coast before going back to the Midwest.
Iowa handled the travel circumstances well in wins over Oregon and Washington. There’s reason to believe they will do so again against Maryland.
