“1000% committed,” the Journal Star all-area first-team selection posted.

During his senior season, the 5-foot-10, 190-pounder helped lead Peoria High to a 9-3 overall record, a Big 12 Conference co-championship and a run to the Class 5A quarterfinals. Pollard rushed for 1,647 yards and 16 TDs on 234 carries for an offense that scored 48.7 points a game. He was also an all-Big 12 Conference offense first team back.

Pollard will join fellow all-area selection and Manual senior wide receiver MaKai Hill as part of the Leathernecks incoming freshman class.

WIU finished 2025 at 4-8 overall and 3-5 in Ohio Valley/Big South play. The Leathernecks will open their 2026 season at home against Northwestern (Iowa) College on Aug. 27.
