The Coachella Valley Firebirds have passed the midway point of the season, and the young group is in a good spot.
They are in the thick of the Pacific Division standings, they’re showing an ability to string together wins and their defense has really picked up.
Part of that defensive effort is the play of reserve goaltender Jack LaFontaine, who has stepped in expertly as he’s been called upon with an injury to starter Nikke Kokko.
