FSU football places 22 on All-ACC Academic Team

The FSU Seminoles were well represented on the All-ACC Academic Team, with 22 players making the list. The ACC announced the team on Friday, and FSU’s 22 honorees are the third most in program history and the third most by any ACC member this year.

Duce Robinson led the way for the Seminoles after being named a CSC First Team Academic All-American, becoming the ninth in program history and first since 2012. The wide receiver was one of just 15 players to make the academic team and one of the All-ACC first, second, or third teams.

AJ Cotrill, Justin Cryer, and Donny Heibert were all honored for the third time in their careers. Mason Arnold, Shyheim Brown, Caziah Holmes, Jacob Rizy, and KJ Sampson were all honored for the second time in their careers.

To make the All-ACC Academic Team, a player must have a 3.0-grade point average for the previous two semesters and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and being classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, they must compete in at least 50% of their team’s athletic contests.
