Teen girl killed in SUV crash on Gateway East Boulevard
April 18: A 16-year-old girl, Jennifer Lopez, was fatally injured when she was riding in the back seat of an SUV driven by an 18-year-old man, who lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole at about 1:45 a.m. on Gateway East Boulevard near Buffalo Soldier Road.
Man killed in multi-vehicle collision in Anthony, Texas
April 11: Oscar Garcia, 55, died at a hospital after a multi-vehicle collision at about 9:30 a.m. when a vehicle attempting to make a left turn onto Wildcat Drive collided with a vehicle on Antonio Street, causing both vehicles to then strike two other vehicles in Anthony, Texas.
Driver killed in rear-end collision on North Desert Boulevard
April 6: A driver, Jaime Humberto Andrade, 56, died after his 2026 Subaru Outback was hit from behind by a 2016 BMW 428i at about 9:15 p.m. while stopped after a previous collision in the 6300 block of North Desert Boulevard in West El Paso. The other driver, Ambar Chavira, 19, was arrested on a charge of collision involving death.
Pedestrian dies after hit by car on I-10 in Downtown El Paso
April 5: A woman in her 30s was fatally struck by a car as she crossed I-10 East near the Downtown exit about 8 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5. The name of the woman has not been released by El Paso Police Department officials.
Pedestrian on Downtown crosswalk fatally struck on Easter Sunday
April 5: A pedestrian, Maria Patrocinio Longoria, 74, was on a crosswalk at about 8:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday when she was fatally struck by a car driven by an 86-year-old man at Texas Avenue and Kansas Street in Downtown El Paso.
Man dies in motorcycle collision on Montana Avenue
March 31: Thomas Joseph Saddler, 49, died when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the back of a pickup truck that turned in front of him at about 10:45 a.m. on Montana Avenue by Walnut Street in Central El Paso.
Man dies in motorcycle crash in East El Paso
March 28: William Page, 67, was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson FXD when he failed to yield the right of way while making a turn and was fatally hit by another vehicle about 8:55 p.m. in the 11800 block of Pellicano Drive in East El Paso.
Teen dies in crash on I-10 in East El Paso
March 17: Sophia Elize Ramirez, 15, died after the vehicle she was riding in was hit from behind by another car that was being driven at a high rate of speed on Interstate 10 about 11 p.m. in East El Paso.
Elderly El Paso man dies in three-vehicle crash on I-10
March 14: Sergio Miguel Gomez, 74, died after he exited a parking lot, failed to stop, crossed all of the Gateway West lanes, jumped the center median onto the westbound lanes of I-10 and was struck by two cars about 8:40 a.m. on March 14. Gomez died from his injuries on March 26.
Juárez woman dies after struck by vehicle on I-10
Feb. 11: A 60-year-old Juárez woman died after she was struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross Interstate 10 West near Artcraft Road about 6:30 p.m. in West El Paso.
Woman dies after ATV crash in Fabens
Feb. 8: Cassandra Silva, 23, died after a blue Yamaha ATV she was riding on crashed into an electrical pole about 6:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Landfill Road in Fabens, Texas.
Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in far East El Paso
Feb. 8: Erica Suann Garcia, 37, was not in a crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle about 2:10 a.m. crossing the 2300 block of Tim Foster Street in far East El Paso.
Woman killed after being struck by rolling vehicle
Feb. 7: Ana Maria Paniagua, 57, was fatally struck by a vehicle that rolled backward when she was attempting to enter it to change drivers about 5:20 p.m. in the 7800 block of North Loop Drive in the Lower Valley.
Woman dies in crash after failing to yield the right of way
Feb. 5: Virginia Striplin, 53, died in a crash after failing to yield the right of way to another vehicle at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Eastlake Boulevard and Blingwood Street in Horizon City.
Pedestrian killed on West Rio Grande Avenue in Sunset Heights
Feb. 4: A pedestrian, Arturo Frias Moreno, 57, was not on a crosswalk when he was fatally struck by an SUV about 5 p.m. in the 300 block of West Rio Grande Avenue in El Paso’s Sunset Heights neighborhood.
Man killed in I-10 freeway crash with wrong-way driver
Feb. 3: Jesus Chico Jr., 25, was driving a Honda Civic when he was killed in a head-on crash with a wrong-way driver in a Ford Mustang about 10:40 p.m. on Interstate 10 in West El Paso. The other driver, Britney Torres, 25, was arrested on an intoxication manslaughter charge.
Toddler fatally struck by ATV on roadway in El Paso County
Feb. 3: A 3-year-old boy was crossing a roadway when he was fatally struck by an ATV about 6 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 600 block of Endwall Street near Horizon City in eastern El Paso County.
‘Man in Black’ motorcyclist killed in car collision
Feb. 1: Adrian Omar Narro, 48, a motorcyclist known as “the Man in Black,” died when the Harley Davidson motorcycle he was riding collided with a car making a left turn at 1:10 a.m. in the 1500 block of Lomaland Drive in East El Paso.
Chaparral man dies in collision on MLK Boulevard
Jan. 26: William Beschle, 78, of Chaparral, New Mexico, died when he made an incorrect turn and collided with another vehicle on the evening of Jan. 26 at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Stan Roberts Sr. Avenue in Northeast El Paso.
Former Eastlake soccer player dies in I-10 crash
Jan. 19: Former Eastlake High School soccer player Fernando Arias Jr., 29, died after he was allegedly speeding and crashed into the back of a semitruck about 1:40 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, on Interstate 10 East near Eastlake Boulevard in eastern El Paso County.
Driver dies in head-on collision on McCombs Street
Jan. 16: Arnoldo Vargas, 31, was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer when he crossed the raised median into incoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle at 9:25 p.m. on Jan. 16 on McCombs Street in Northeast El Paso. Vargas died at a hospital.
First fatal traffic crash of 2026
Jan. 1: Angelique Diaz De Leon, 18, died as she was a passenger in a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro that was hit by a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck about 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, on Gateway North Boulevard and Sean Haggerty Drive in Northeast El Paso.
