The Akron Beacon Journal obtained the 2025 fire inspection reports for Akron Public Schools in December through a public records request. The reports show that Akron fire inspectors cited the district for more than 200 violations at its 44 school sites.
Akron fire officials say no imminent danger exists at the schools, and that a single violation, no matter how minor, will trigger a failed inspection designation on the report.
Some schools have since been reinspected and resolved their violations, according to school district officials.
