A 62-year-old man riding a motorcycle died from his injuries after colliding with a vehicle in Indio, authorities said Monday.

The crash was reported around 4:10 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Calhoun Street and Avenue 42, according to the Indio Police Department.

The motorcycle collided with a Honda sedan driven by a 20-year-old man. The circumstances were not immediately available.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he was pronounced dead. The Riverside County coroner’s office identified him on Monday as Jerry Bradley of Indio.

Police said the Honda driver cooperated with investigators at the scene and that drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the collision.
