Good news: You don’t have to pay a high retail price at a nearby convenience store to replace it.

Now, thanks to the thrift chain’s extended hours, you can head over to Goodwill for reduced-price household items and secondhand clothes.

Thrift stores operated by Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, with stores in Eustis, Leesburg and Clermont, are now open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.

On Jan. 4, Goodwill retail locations, except for the outlet stores, in Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, Seminole and Lake counties began operating from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. Previously, Sunday hours were 10 a.m. to 8 p.m

In 2025, more than 25 million pounds of gently used clothing and household goods were diverted from local landfills.

“By extending our store hours, we’re creating more opportunities for the community to engage with Goodwill in meaningful ways,” said Ed Durkee, president and CEO at GICF in a press release.

“Every visit, whether to shop or donate, helps support local jobs, strengthen families and create a more sustainable Central Florida.”

In case you haven’t visited in a while, Goodwill stocks a wide variety of gently used items like clothing, furniture, housewares, books and electronics, along with some brand-new closeout merchandise in their retail stores and online.

Inventory constantly changes, but typically you’ll find everything from everyday wear and designer brands to vintage bric-a-brac, plus home décor, toys and media.

According to the company’s spokesperson, more than 95% of revenue generated at Goodwill Industries of Central Florida stores supports job training, employment placement and career readiness services for Central Floridians in need of assistance.
