Browns vs. Steelers live updates: NFL Week 17 game score, highlights

The Cleveland Browns have just one home game left this season, taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers in their NFL Week 17 matchup. All eyes will be on Myles Garrett in this game, as the Cleveland pass rusher can break the NFL’s single-season sack record with just one sack.

Another storyline worth following in this game is where the Browns fall in the 2026 NFL Draft order with a clear path to the first overall pick. They currently hold the No. 3 pick in the draft, but the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants, both picking ahead of them in the draft order, have a head-to-head. With a loss, the Browns will hold the No. 2 pick in the draft, barring a tie between the Raiders and Giants.

Shedeur Sanders is running out of opportunities to prove to the Browns that he can be the guy in 2026. If the Browns are in a position to take a quarterback, they’re going to take a quarterback.

Browns lose two guards to injuries

The Browns were already rotating guards Wyatt Teller and Teven Jenkins at right guard. Now, both of them are hurt as Teller is still dealing with a calf injury and has left the game, and now Jenkins is being evaluated for a concussion. Former third round pick Zak Zinter is now in the game at right guard for the Browns.

Browns are spoiling a lot deep into the fourth quarter

Neither offense is moving the football, neither defense is budging. The Browns have a chance to not only spoil the Steelers’ ability to clinch the AFC North, but also their shot at the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. They lead 10-6 with the football and 10 minutes left in the game.

Shedeur Sanders throws his second interception of the game

One of the worst interceptions you’ll see, Shedeur Sanders threw an absolute gift to the Steelers that turned into an interception.

Steelers kick another field goal right before halftime

The Browns have stalled offensively, including one Shedeur Sanders interception (and another potential pick-six dropped), and the Steelers are starting to move the football. Aaron Rodgers led a two-minute drive on the Browns’ defense that led to three more points as time expired at the half. With one half to go, the Browns lead the Steelers 10-6.

Steelers get 3 back as Browns defense holds

After a long drive, the Browns defense held up and forced a field goal. Steelers kicker Chris Boswell knocked a kick through for three points. Now early in the second quarter, the Browns still lead 10-3.

Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. hurt on touchdown catch

On his touchdown grab, Fannin was forced to work his way back and contort to an underthrown football, and it seems like he has aggravated the ankle that had him questionable entering the game. He had to be helped off the field. We’ll see if he works his way back into the game.

Shedeur Sanders finds Harold Fannin Jr. to put the Browns up 10-0

The Browns forced a three-and-out against the Steelers on their first drive, and now quarterback Shedeur Sanders leads a touchdown drive, finding tight end Harold Fannin Jr. deep down the field. It was a 29-yard strike. The Browns now lead 10-0 over Pittsburgh, and Sanders is 5-of-7 passing for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Browns take early 3-0 lead over Steelers

The Browns moved the football well on the opening drive, but it stalled out in Steelers’ territory. Kicker Andre Szmyt has come through for the Browns again, knocking the ball through the uprights for three points. He’s turned into quite a consistent kicker for the Browns despite a rough start in Week 1.
