LANSING — Police were gathered where a human body apparently was recovered from the Grand River near downtown Lansing on the afternoon of Dec. 23.
Police vehicles, including a crime scene investigation van, were staged at Rotary Park, near Lansing Shuffle, and a blue canopy was set up on a grassy spot along the river. Yellow crime-scene tape blocked access to a section of the trail along the river.
Police did not immediately release any details about the incident.
