El Paso is being named as a “Rising Star Destination” in 2026, according to a newly released report.
A Travel Trends 2026 Forecast was released by vacation rental marketplace HomeToGo, based on search and pricing data and a survey of traveler sentiment. A total of 30 destinations were named, all of which have seen a year-over-year increase in searches of more than 100% and boast a median nightly price of under $100 per person for vacation accommodations.
The 30 “Rising Star Destinations” range from nearby Arizona and California to European towns in places like Scotland and England.
El Paso was named as a rising star in the “Neo-Western Revival” category, which features “desert landscapes and frontier-style towns with modern Western flair.”
“Western destinations are seeing a rise in interest, fueled by a broader cultural moment that has placed such locations firmly in the spotlight,” the report said. “Rather than seeking out large resorts, vacationers are increasingly turning to smaller towns across the Southwest and Mountain West, with landscapes defined by desert terrain and rugged canyons.”
Search trends revealed traveler interest in El Paso grew 191% year-over-year, and the average cost of an overnight stay per person was $62.21, according to the report.
