Longhorns lose starting OL Connor Stroh to the transfer portal

The Longhorns are losing another player to the transfer portal. Texas offensive lineman Connor Stroh will enter the portal, according to his representatives at A&P Sports Agency. The sophomore started five games in the 2025 season.

Stroh will enter the portal as a grad transfer with two years of eligibility. The Frisco native redshirted in 2023, but didn’t play at all last season in 2024.

This year, Stroh started the first five games of the season at left guard before shuffling with Nick Brooks and Cole Hutson. He played in 11 games, missing the Kentucky game due to injury.

Coming out of high school, Stroh was a three-star ranked as the No. 546 overall prospect, the No. 54 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 89 player in Texas in the 2023 class. The 6-foot-7, 341-pound guard was recruited by offensive line coach Kyle Flood. Stroh chose Texas over 17 other offers, including Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Cal, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Stanford, and Tennessee, among others.
