The holiday season is in full swing, and local organizations around the Finger Lakes are gearing up plenty of events the whole family can enjoy.

Holidays at the Lake House on Canandaigua

It’s A Wonderful Life Festival and Parade
The annual It’s a Wonderful Life Festival, honoring the iconic movie, will take place Dec. 12 through Dec. 14 in Seneca Falls. This year’s It’s a Wonderful Life Parade will be held Dec. 13 within the historic Seneca Falls Village.
“This event brings together families, businesses and organizations from across the region to celebrate community, kindness, and the spirit of the season,” festival President Haidee Oropallo said.
For the first time this year, there will be a Float Contest! Participants are asked to decorate their floats with holiday themes inspired by the “It’s A Wonderful Life” movie. The winner will receive a $100 gift card.

East Bloomfield Historical Society Christmas Party & Live Auction
The annual East Bloomfield Historical Society Christmas Party and Live Auction will be held Dec. 6. A cocktail hour with live music from the Day Brothers will start at 6 p.m. and the auction will begin at 7 p.m.
Admission is $10 and will include an auction paddle and refreshments. The auction will include an airplane ride, theatre tickets, unique collectables, art, wine, Strong Museum of Play passes and more.
The East Bloomfield Historical Society is located at 8 South Ave. in East Bloomfield, Ontario County.
Community Messiah Sing-Along
The annual Community Messiah Sing-Along at the First Congregational Church of Canandaigua will be held Dec. 7. Rehearsals will begin at 1 p.m. and the performance will be at 3 p.m.
This over 40-year-old tradition will include performances from soloists, musicians and a full choir from music director, Kristi Ingersoll and organist Daniel Chang.
