The path to the playoffs for the Detroit Lions is simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.
The Lions (7-5, 3rd in NFC North) are facing the Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1, 2nd in NFC East) in an NFC showdown on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Ford Field in Detroit. The game will be aired nationally on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service and is scheduled to kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET.
The Lions continue to deal with a rash of injuries, most recently putting cornerback Terrion Arnold on injured reserve as he will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are one of the hottest teams in the NFL after beating both defending conference champions (Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs) in back-to-back games.

Likely needing at least four wins in their last five games to make the playoffs, the Lions are approaching this week as a must-win game. The Cowboys, meanwhile, can pull ahead of the Lions in the NFC playoff picture win a win on Thursday.
