What is a Silver Alert in Wisconsin?
A Silver Alert is an emergency notification to help find missing seniors who have Alzheimer’s, dementia or another permanent cognitive impairment, quickly spreading information through various channels to mobilize public assistance. The system is designed to rapidly mobilize public assistance, similar to an AMBER Alert for children.
If you have a loved one at risk of wandering, prepare by keeping a current photo and vehicle information, and consider signing up for alerts via the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network.
If a loved one goes missing, immediately call 911.
