Iowa basketball (4-0) welcomes Chicago State (0-5) for a Thursday night clash as the Hawkeyes look to continue their perfect start to the 2025-26 season.
Iowa has been on cruise control in all four of its victories over Robert Morris, Western Illinois, Xavier, and Southeast Missouri State. The Hawkeyes have shot better than 50% from the field in all eight halves this season, which includes five 60% halves. Iowa leads the nation with a 57.9% field goal percentage, including a 68.3% clip from 2-point range.
Junior forward Alvaro Folgueiras led all scorers on Tuesday in the Hawkeyes’ 99-70 blowout win over SEMO with 16 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the field, 3-for-5 from 3-point range, and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line, to go along with his five rebounds and one assist.

Senior guard Bennett Stirtz is leading the team offensively by averaging 19.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game entering Thursday night’s contest. Folgueiras (12.0 points) and Banks (11.0 points) are averaging double-figure scoring as well.
