Get up early and put the turkey in the oven.
Make the mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, dinner rolls and several pies for dessert.

Individual take-out dinners are available on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and must be pre-ordered. Pick’s Pub: 101 Prescott Ave. in Elmira Heights. Thanksgiving Day lunch buffet from 11 a.m. until food is gone. Traditional fare, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. For more information, call 607-442-0444.
Hickory House Restaurant: 3543 Watkins Road (state Route 14) in Horseheads. Thanksgiving Day buffet from noon to 4 p.m. Menu includes roast turkey, baked ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, salad bar, dessert table. Reservations appreciated. O’Ryan’s Sports Bar: 159 Prescott Ave. in Elmira Heights. Open normal hours 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Regular menu plus Thanksgiving menu that includes turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, other traditional favorites. Call 607-732-9362 for more information and to make reservations.
Hamlet Delights: 103 Sayre St. in Horseheads. Open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving dinner menu includes turkey or ham, two sides. For more information, call 607-739-2888.
