The San Angelo Central High School football team finalized its bi-district playoff matchup.
The Bobcats (7-3) will face off against the El Paso Pebble Hills Spartans (7-3) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.
Central wrapped up the third seed in 2-6A with a 52-16 win over Wolfforth Frenship. With the Division split in 6A, the Bobcats came out of Friday’s matchup as the No. 1 seed in Division II.
Friday’s win over the Tigers avoided a scenario where the Bobcats would make a trip out to El Paso and play against District 1-6A champions El Paso Eastwood.
Central has played the Spartans three times, with the Bobcats winning all three matchups, most recently in 2019 when they had a 25-point comeback in a 44-40 win.
Their only playoff meeting came in 2017 when the Bobcats won a bi-district matchup 35-20.
Pebble Hills was also the third seed in District 1-6A after dropping a Week 11 matchup against El Paso Franklin 28-15.
