On Nov. 4, Poughkeepsie voters are hitting the polls to decide a number of local races.

Some of the top local offices up for election this year include Dutchess County comptroller, the Dutchess County Legislature seats and a Dutchess County Court judge position.

Who won Dutchess County Court judge race

In the race for Dutchess County Court Judge, Ned McLoughlin, with a decade of experience on the bench, faced challenger Kara Gerry, an attorney with nearly two decades of courtroom experience.

Democratic and Working Families candidate Gerry has bested Republican and Conservative incumbent McLoughlin, with 40,964 votes to 32,209, according to the unofficial results from the Dutchess County Board of Elections website.

Dutchess County comptroller race decided

Democratic and Workings Families candidate Dan Aymar-Blair, who defeated Gregg Pulver in a 2024 special election, has once again triumphed in the 2025 general election against Republican and Conservative challenger Will Truitt, with 40,358 votes compared to 32,997, according to the unofficial results from the Dutchess County Board of Elections website.

Who is on the ballot in Dutchess County?

Dutchess County residents will decide a number of races at the county level in the 2025 election, including the county legislature races, county court and comptroller races.

In the comptroller race, Democrat and Working Families incumbent Dan Aymar-Blair and Republican and Conservative Will Truitt are running for the position.

Out of the 25 Dutchess County Legislature districts within the county, 14 are contested races in the Nov. 4 general election.

Also at the county level, Incumbent Republican and Conservative Ned McLoughlin and Democratic and Working Families candidate Kara Gerry ran for the position of Dutchess County Court judge.
