The Indianapolis Colts have waived linebacker Joe Bachie from injured reserve.
Bachie was placed on injured reserve after the Colts’ Week 6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders with a foot injury.
The Colts signed Bachie earlier this offseason as a free agent. He previously played under Lou Anarumo in Cincinnati.
Bachie played 68 defensive snaps this season and started in each of the Colts’ first five games next to Zaire Franklin.
However, while Bachie started, that WILL linebacker role he played was regularly rotated as Anarumo searched for stability at that position.
With Bachie on injured reserve, the Colts signed veteran Germaine Pratt, who was immediately thrown into the defensive mix this past week, and that aforementioned rotation next to Franklin was non-existent with Pratt on the field.
