October isn’t over, but one of Lubbock’s newer holiday lights displays is already opening ticket sales for its drive-through show, according to a news release.

The Lubbock Light Park, between Home Depot and the South Plains Mall, 6002 Slide Road, is a drive-through holiday lights display that first opened in 2024. This year, the organization is promising to be bigger and brighter.

“As parents ourselves, we wanted to create something magical right here in Lubbock,” said Zach Maldonado, owner of Lubbock Light Park. “This year, we’ve gone bigger in every way—more lights, more music, more magic. It’s our way of giving families a tradition they can come back to year after year.”

When is Lubbock Light Park open for 2025? What are the hours?

This year, the show will be available from Nov. 2 through Dec. 27, featuring new light scenes, new synchronized holiday music, more colors and more sparkle than 2024.

Hours will be 6:30-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and 6:30-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

What to know for Lubbock Light Park 2025: Tickets, vehicle limits, radio information

Preseason tickets will go on sale online on Wednesday and continue through Oct. 31. The organization encourages people to buy tickets online at lubbocklightpark.com to avoid wait times and to ensure their spot. Ticket prices are per car.

Tickets will also be sold at the gate starting on Nov. 2.

Vehicles should be less than 9 feet tall and under 26 feet long.

“This means SUVs, Double Cab F-250 (or equivalent) will be fine,” according to the release. “Unfortunately, buses (of any length), limousines, trailers, semi-trucks, sprinter vans, 15 passenger vans, and Santa’s sleigh are all either too tall or have too wide of a turning radius to fit through the drive-through show.”

The displays and lights are synced to Christmas music from the show’s radio frequency.
