Since then, he has scaled his business to $35,000 in annual revenue with more than $10,000 invested in equipment and a four-person team.

Pietsek’s door-to-door salesmanship has consistently generated at least $6,000 of revenue each month. With that rate of growth, he continues to research expansion into new markets and to include complementary services, the news release said.

Ishaan Thakur, the award’s namesake, is the founder of FLIFER Technologies and the 2021 recipient of the Outstanding High School Entrepreneur Award. The cryptocurrency mining business he founded with his sister turned into a multimillion dollar business during his freshman year of high school.

Pietsek will be recognized along with another high school student on Oct. 29 in Houston at the Annual Future Texas Business Legend Awards Luncheon.
