A Nebraska brewery and winery took home medals from the Great American Beer Festival

A brewery in Lincoln won a gold medal and a Scottsbluff winery took home silver at the 2025 Great American Beer Festival, where industry experts gather to judge thousands of different beers and ciders from all over the country.

This year’s festival, held in early October in Denver, Colorado, saw 250 expert judges evaluate 8,315 beer and cider entries, awarding a total of 347 medals to 273 breweries and cideries across a range of different categories.

“There were extremely strong showings from numerous breweries and cidermakers across the U.S.,” Chris Williams, competition director for the Brewers Association, said in a news release. “These medals honor the talent, dedication and creativity of our nation’s brewers and cidermakers.”
