Lower Hudson Valley locals and visitors can look forward to a warm first weekend of October, with sunny days and milder, more autumnal temperatures at night.
According to a forecast from the National Weather Service, the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 3, continues to be sunny, with high temps near 72 degrees. Expect low temps around 52 Friday night in Rockland and Westchester, and even cooler temps in Putnam with lows in the mid 40s.
Saturday, things heat up with high temps in the low 80s and a “light west wind,” the NWS says. Saturday night should be mostly clear with a low around 59 degrees and a calm wind.
Sunday will be warmer with a high temperature near 83 degrees. Sunday night should be clear with lows around 58.
Monday should be sunny and a bit cooler with highs near 79. At night, look for mostly clear skies and lows near 58.
